Pulau Pari: A day tour guide in one of Jakarta's Thousand Islands

Indonesia is known among tourists for its numerous vacation spots that includes temples, beaches, parks, etc.

When travelling to central Jakarta, don't miss out the chance explore this beautiful city. In my previous post, (Things to do in Jakarta) I have jotted down several places and activities you could do in your stay. And in this post, I would be sharing my day tour adventure to one of Indonesia's Thousand Islands, namely Pulau Pari.

🗺️HOW TO GET THERE

From Manila, first you have to book an international flight to Central Jakarta. From Central Jakarta, ride to Ancol, but remember to book for a ticket online via easybook prior going to the pier.

📝TIPS & RECOMMENDATIONS

1. Day tour. If you're going for a day tour in one of the islands of Pulua Seribu, choose an island that has a short travel time, and offers several activities for you to maximize during your visit

2. Book a tour at a local travel agency. Since day tours follow a strict schedule, you would be able to explore all the places within measured time

3. Tour guide. Trust me, they are your lifesaver! Since Indonesia is not an english-speaking country, having a tour guide will ease your worries of getting lost and asking the locals of where-to's and what-to's. Plus, the family of our tour guide made us a very delicious lunch!

Pulau Seribu or "Thousand Islands" is composed of several islands, with each island possessing its own beauty. We chose Pulau Pari since it has a short travel time from Ancol Pier and it has a lot of good reviews which is perfect for a day tour. Mind you, the island didn't disappoint! It has crystal clear waters and long stretch of fine white sand embracing the coastline.

🛶EXPLORE THE ISLAND’S MANGROVE

Just 15 minutes away from the main land, you get to explore the mangrove of the island. Such a scenery! And the clear blue water is really amazing it will leave you at awe.
